Women's Basketball Slideshow

Here is the slideshow from the Women's last home game of the year. In front of a school and MAC record attendance of 4,711, the Lady Cardinals went up 72-70 with a minute remaining against Eastern Michigan University. The Eagles drove down the court and had a couple attempts, but failed to get the bucket. They get the offensive rebound and dish it out for a three pointer, putting the Cardinals down 73-72. With less than 20 seconds left, the Cards get down the court and take a timeout. After the timeout, Kelsey Corbin drives under the bucket and puts up a shot with about five ticks on the clock. After missing, Julie DeMuth grabs a huge rebound and attempts to put up her shot. She misses the shot, but draws a foul. She needed to make one to tie, and two to win. The first one sails right in. Tie game. The second free throw is also successful, putting the Cardinals up with 3.8 seconds. The Cardinals put up a defensive stand and hold off the Eagles' last second shot, winning 73-72 on Senior Night. Enjoy the photos from the best game of the season.
